Councilwoman Larissa Chen-Hoerning
Larissa Chen-Hoerning is serving her first term as Third Ward Councilwoman in Roselle Park. Her husband, Tim, has lived in the Borough his whole life. They have three children.
Larissa holds a Bachelor's Degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and a Master's Degree from Yale University. She works part-time as a therapist with autistic children.
Larissa is a member of various family-oriented organizations, and was the founder of local ICAN and DiaperFreeBaby chapters. She is co- leader of the Northern NJ Babywearing group, and does independent consultations as well.
Larissa began the Union area Freecycle Network group in 2004, which is now over 5000 members strong and growing. She has previously volunteered with NY Cares, Angel PAWS and Best Friend Dog and Animal Adoption.
Councilwoman Chen-Hoerning is serving on the Finance Committee (chairwoman), as well as being the Council Liason to the Board of Health and Municipal Land Use Board, for 2010.
