The Budget is essentially complete, with just a couple of tweaks needed as numbers come in, and will be introduced shortly.Redevelopment:
On Monday, June 22 at 6:30pm at Borough Hall there will be a public hearing on the Romerovski redevelopment plan. The details of the settlement will be presented to the public, and there will be an opportunity for the residents to make public comments. Please, please make every effort to attend. This is one of the biggest decisions our Borough will have to make in a long time, and everyone really needs to understand what's going on and how we got here. A representative from Avalon Bay will be there, as will the court-appointed Special Master.
Other Events:
- The Borough-wide yard sale will be on Saturday, June 6 from 9-4. Please go to Borough Hall to sign up - the more, the merrier! The registration fee is $10 and covers advertising as well as the printing of yard sale location maps.
Garbage/Waste:
There will be Bulky Waste pickups on:- Thursday, June 11 (East Side) and Friday, June 12 (West Side)
- Thursday, October 15 (East Side) and Friday, October 16 (West Side)
There are county Computer and Electronics collection events on:
- Sat., July 25 at UC Vo-Tech in Scotch Plains
- Sat., Sept. 26 at Alcatel-Lucent
- Sat., Nov. 7 at Schering Plough in Kenilworth
There are Hazardous Waste collections on:
- Sat., June 13 at Alcatel-Lucent
- Sat., August 8 at UC Vo-Tech
- Sun., Oct. 18 at UCC
